David Tao 's music plays an important role in my military service period. His music has a magical power, ease my trouble and give me strength to go on. Especially for his famous song "沙灘", it was truely described C.G.A. guys' life.
He was grew up in U.S., and his music style is affected by U.S. culture. His music has successfuly combined "R&B" with Chinese, such as 『望春風』、『夜來香』、『忘不了』.
I bought his first album in 1997, after that I became one of his faithful fans.
David has re-arranged the song "天天" in 2003 and he said this is a better version than old one in 1999.
In C.G.A. the quanity of people are less than other military organizations, most time you have to get alone with the coast. When this condition comes to me, I 'll pretend I'm in America's coast scenery ; shifting my mood to another world. You might feel curious why beach makes boys in blue mood . Everyday we spend more than 8 hours stay with the beach by ourselves, if the manpower is enough there will be a partner accompany with you, in other words there are 2 boys to control the coast. But in normal status, only one boy will be assigned to control the coast.
In short, everyday we do is watching the same beach and record the wake on the map. (Wake means the mark that ships cross over the ocean.) Many boys get bored once they 're famliar with it. Sometimes we also have to take care the safety condition on the road. If the supervisor's patrol car is coming, we must inform the charge of quarters (值班安官).
David's music is my best treatment during my military service period. Even the songs that he wrote to other singers can also cure my mind. Till now, I still enjoy his music as well.
